Two years ago, Slotland.com told their thousands of regular community members that they'd committed to funding an essential development project in Malawi, Africa. A small group of dedicated aid workers asked them for help and they couldn't say no. The overwhelming support of the Slotland.com online community has inspired Slotland.com to continue funding the project and to expand the scope.

Our first project changed the lives of an entire village.

Project Team

Malawi is one of the poorest countries in the world and we believe that education is the key to giving her children hope.

With full funding from Slotland.com, we have spent the last two years building a school and training teachers and volunteers here in Juma, Malawi. The whole community has helped build our school and over a hundred volunteers help operate it and care for the gardens which feed the children.

While Slotland continues to fund our work, we would like to extend our aid to neighbouring villages that have begun community projects and need help to complete them.

When you read about our successful Umodzi-Mbame School, and hear about the maize mill we'd like to build in Kantimbanya to support the orphanages they've built, we hope you'll want to help.
